Four and a half stars. This is arguably the top-shelf flash unit for Canon DSLR's. It's a good unit and has rotational capability for bounced flash. With an extension you can do off camera bounce. I have mild concerns about durability of the unit and battery life with NiCads. Good recycle time. I liked the 'package deal' that included the instructional CD and NiCad batteries for a price comparable to other stores' prices for the flash unit alone. If you're looking for a top-line flash for Canon DSLR's this is a good one.
