This flash has some lag time when its trying to lock on the focus but still gets the job done. The af assit beam is smaller and slower than the canon but effective. The shoe print doesnt sit all the way in the 20d shoe but it locks down ok. The flash really shines when its used in auto thyrister mode, the exposures are great, forget TTL as it doesnt work regardless of the manufacture, this is a great backup strobe for your 20d, and once u learn thyrister you might make it your #1 strobe.
